In this project, I spent time gathering user research in order to create a user-friendly experience for a struggling trip planner app. I revamped the app by making a clean and simple layout. I gathered research by empathy mapping, personas, and interviews. Then, conducted extensive visual research for inspiration. After that, I used the process of wireframing and prototyping to create something great.

Persona Building

Building personas are a great way to understanding our audience. Here is an example of a potential user I created based on my user interviews. By building personas, I am able to design my app more effectively to help the user’s needs.

Wireframing

Before designers can begin to prototype, I created wireframes for what my app was going to look like. While these are likely to be tweaked during the design process, it’s important to have a good baseline.
